Acupuncture is an ancient art that uses needles to stimulate our innate self-healing powers, creating treatment pathways for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Alone or in combination with other natural modalities, the gentle stimulation of Yin-Yang energies promotes repair, maintenance and optimal well-being.

Given its wide versatility, acupuncture safely and effectively addresses:

  • Stress
  • Pain
  • Headaches
  • Low Energy
  • Digestive Problems
  • Poor Sleep
  • Colds and Allergies
  • Neuropathies
  • TMJ, Chronic Inflammation (MS)
  • Recovery from Stroke and Cancer.

Many treatments are combined with:

  • Cupping
  • Moxibustion (a gentle warming technique)
  • Acupressure
  • Gua Sha
  • Electro-Stimulation
  • Herbal Medicine
  • Homeopathic Injections

Cupping is a suction technique that releases muscle tension in and around joints and draws healing blood flow to injured and painful sites (remember all those eye-popping red circles on the Olympic swimmers?).

However, by moving energy and opening up the pores, Cupping also reduces fever and lung congestion in cases of colds, flu, asthma, allergies and bronchitis.

Moxibustion Therapy

In Moxibustion, compressed Mugwort is heated and gently placed over an acupuncture point – or an injury – to stimulate healing Qi flow. Mugwort heat is known to easily penetrate the tissue and remain for long-lasting action.

Tuina Acupressure Therapy

Tuina, or “Push-Pull” in Chinese, is another ancient form of energy movement that promotes natural healing through touch. In addition to applying pressure at acupuncture points, various other techniques increase blood circulation, open up the meridians and dissolve stagnations. Ideal for treating stiff joints, the numbness, burning and tingling of neuropathies and, in the elderly, constipation.

Electro-Stimulation involves attaching charged alligators clips set at various frequencies to provide a more constant stimulation of certain acupuncture points. Great for reducing muscle tension in pain issues!

Natural Injections:

B-12 Methylcobalamin ($25) is highly absorbable form of this important B-vitamin most often used to promote energy and healthy nerve cells. Helpful for fatigue, neuropathies and mental focus.

Homeopathic injectables ($30) are natural and come in many forms to treat joint and muscle pain, weight loss, edema, allergies, immune deficiency and shingles.

Testimonials – What people are saying

Kelly – “I have really really tight hips. But when the cupping was finished and I was getting dressed, I was able to touch my toes.. it was a Wow experience of Oh my God I can touch my toes! I could never do that before.

“I also did the needles as I was having digestive problems, Josh helped with those issues also and you really couldn’t feel the needles going in. I was always skeptical to try acupuncture but now that I have I am a believer, it has been done for thousands of years and it is so much better than taking prescription pills, since pills are just band aids vs figuring out how to help the problem. If you are in any kind of pain.. You should try acupuncture first before trying the pills.

Jill – “Several months back I started seeing Josh for treatments to ease the pain of a recurring knee injury. I had great relief from acupuncture treatments a few years ago and decided to try it again. Josh did a terrific job locating and treating the source of my knee pain as well as some additional supporting muscle tightness and tenderness.

“During the course of my treatment I mentioned that I was experiencing some of the usual suspects that come along with menopause–hot flashes and night sweats. Josh told me that he had several treatments for hot flashes and night sweats and I decided to give them a try.  After just a few treatments I noticed that the frequency and severity of my hot flashes and night sweats had greatly diminished. The herbal supplement was helpful too but ultimately I think the acupuncture treatments had the greatest positive effect.  I’ll be heading back to FL shortly and will return to my acupuncture sessions with Josh. Fewer and less intense hot flashes/ night sweats, feeling better overall–it’s acupuncture for the win!”

Renee – “We got the symptoms of Trigeminal Neuralgia not only under control, we were able to reduce the medication and eventually I tapered off the medication and stopped taking it entirely.

“I also had problems with saliva. I didn’t have any. Now and after several years I can spit and don’t have any cavities. That is amazing with Sjogrens Disease. And my dentist is impressed by that. It’s because my acupuncturist worked on my saliva glands.”
